Immortals forfeit ECS matches
Immortals have forfeited their remaining matches in the Esports Championship Series (ECS), the league's organisers have announced.
In a tweet, ECS said that the Brazilian team were forced to forfeit their last four matches in the league due to not being able to field the majority of their registered roster for the competition.
Immortals were sitting next-to-last in the league, with a 3-11 record, and still had to face OpTic and Renegades. ECS has deemed the Brazilian team to have lost all of their matches 16-0 - meaning they will have to fight to keep their spot in the league in the promotion stage, in which they will face the top side of the Development League.
Following the departures of Ricardo "boltz" Prass and Lucas "steel" Lopes to SK and Liquid, respectively, Immortals' active roster has been depleted to just four players. However, reports in Brazil suggest that Lucas "destiny" Bullo and Caio "zqkS" Fonseca have been denied entry into the United States due to visa issues and could be on their way out of the team.
João "horvy" Horvath and Bruno "shz" Martinelli have been heavily linked with Tempo Storm, who have given a strong indication that roster changes are close at hand after cutting ties with Lucas "YJ" Yuji.
Due to being unable to play with more than 60% of their original roster @Immortals have forfeited all of their #ECS4 maps.
