The fight for glory in ESL Pro Series Germany Spring Season 2012 will be a showdown between mousesports and myRevenge.de at the season finals, following Saturday's quarter- and semi-finals.

For the ninth season in a row, mousesports find themselves in the final of the German ESL Pro Series. The German squad made this possible with 2-0 victories against NeverPlay in the quarter-final and Alternate in the semi-final.

Despite going undefeated through the group stage, Alternate fell short of the finish line for the second season in a row, not making the season's grand final. This came with a loss against the rivals from mousesports, who won 16-10 on first map de_dust2 and then went up 15-0 on second map de_nuke, winning 16-5 to advance to the grand final.

In the grand finals mousesports will face myRevenge.de, who made it by beating DkH 2-1 in the semi-final. DkH had prior to this won 2-1 against fC.SNOGARD in the quarter-final, but weren't able to down the second ranked team from the group stage, and will therefore play the third place decider against Alternate. With mousesports announcing the shutdown of its CS 1.6 division earlier this month, the ESL Pro Series Spring Season 2012 finals will be the last appearance for the team. Finn "karrigan" Andersen had his last show in mousesports against Alternate, as he will not be playing with the team at the finals, due to date collision with the Swedish Championship qualifier in Stockholm, which he will attend with his new team fnatic.

Christian "Blizzard" Chmiel will assist mousesports at the season's conclusion, which will take place April 28-29 in ESL's backyard, which is of course Cologne.

Chmiel and the rest of mousesports could win the ninth ESL Pro Series in a row and fourteenth overall. The winner of this season will bring home 5,000€ and the trophy, while the second placed team will have get 2,500€ for their efforts.

For the interested souls out there, we have gathered Andersen's POV demos from his last mousesports appearance, find them in the POV demo section.
