Luminosity wreck NiP; first in group A
Luminosity are the first to advance to MLG Columbus quarter-finals following a very convincing 16-5 scoreline on Mirage versus NiP.
The start to the group A winners' match between Luminosity and Ninjas in Pyjamas was truly back-and-forth, as the teams kept trading rounds one after another up until it was 3-3. Those rounds included Lincoln "fnx" Lau's and Adam "friberg" Friberg's triples in forcebuys, as well as Marcelo "coldzera" David's 1-on-3 clutch.
Then Ninjas in Pyjamas managed to pick up two in a row thanks to the economy reset as Terrorists, but more of fnx heroics (two doubles) tied it back up at 5-5. Luminosity pushed it to 7-5 with an eco and a 2-on-3 retake thrown in, and ended the half at 10-5 with a quad by fnx.
fnx ended up on 29 frags in 21 rounds
The second half saw fnx continue with brilliant play, as he helped his team win the second pistol round with a triple, saving a scary 1-on-3 attempt by Richard "Xizt" Landström.
Two comfortable anti-ecos afterwards the Brazilians executed a strategy on the B bombsite and with another double by fnx, they soon pushed the score to match point and finished NiP off at 16-5.
